 Flaxseeds are a great source of cancer fighting lignans, heart healthy omega-3 fats and fibre. Make sure you eat ground flaxseed because whole flaxseed will pass through your digestive track undigested and you will miss out on its benefits. You can buy pre-ground flaxseed or use a coffee grinder to grind your own whole flaxseed. One to two tablespoons a day will provide you with all the wonderful cancer fighting and cholesterol lowering benefits.
