September 6, 2010 Although caffeine can help perk us up in the morning or mid-afternoon, it can also cause insomnia, increase blood pressure and lower the body’s absorption of calcium. It is recommended to keep your caffeine intake to no more than 4 cups (32 oz) of coffee a day (less than 450 mg of caffeine/day). Be sure to check the size of your coffee cup…some come hold as much as 2 cups! |
