 Hot days often mean stopping to buy a tasty, icy, cold beverage. But beware of those slush and iced coffee drinks as they are often high in calories and carbohydrate (sugar!). Take a look:

12 oz slush drink: 200 calories, 49 grams carbohydrate (12 tsp of sugar)
12 oz Crystal Light slush drink: 60 calories, 14 grams carbohydrate (3 tsp of sugar)
16 oz Icy Fruit Smoothies: 140 calories, 36 grams carbohydrate (9 tsp sugar)
16 oz Creamy Fruit Smoothies: 300 calories, 66 grams carbohydrate (17 tsp sugar)
16 oz Coffee/Tea Chillers: 380 calories, 70 grams carbohydrate (18 tsp sugar)

Best advise…take a look at the nutrition information before deciding on which drink would best quench your thirst!
