October 18, 2009 When our weight starts to climb gradually over the years ( 1 – 2 pounds per year), after five to ten years we have packed on an extra 10 – 20 pounds. And as we get older, weight loss becomes more of a challenge and health concerns start to rise. Making a simple change in your diet can help prevent that gradual weight gain. By simply reducing your caloric intake by 100 calories a day (that’s two teaspoons of sugar per day), you could prevent that 10 pound weight gain over 10 years! Perhaps it is time to consider reducing the sugar we put in our coffee or tea or downsizing some of our snacks? |
