October 25, 2009 Are you at a weight-loss plateau? Are you finding it difficult to loss those last 10 pounds? A weight-loss plateau occurs when your body your body tries to stop the weight loss by decreasing its resting energy expenditure and by decreasing thyroid hormone secretion. Also, your leptin levels are low so you start to feel hungry. Don't despair, continue to follow a healthy diet and keep to your exercise routine. You will likely have to work out 60 to 90 minutes a day, five to seven times a week. Be sure to choose an activity you enjoy. |
